I am writing on behalf of One Big Change Kenya, an initiative by LocaeRise, to request a 30-minute introductory meeting with you and, where appropriate, members of your technical team.

Kenya has already made the strategic shift to Competency-Based Education and committed substantial investment to teachers, curriculum, infrastructure, technology and the transition into Senior School.

The opportunity now is to strengthen the last mile of implementation: understanding why the same national reform is translating strongly into practice in some school contexts, more unevenly in others, and what conditions will help CBE succeed consistently for every learner.

One Big Change Kenya is being developed as a Kenyan-led implementation and evidence framework to help answer that question.

Our approach begins with the Ministry's priorities and measures of success.

Using our emerging Change Lens™ methodology and AI-assisted software, participating schools would help identify what is working well, why it is working, where implementation is getting stuck, the underlying barrier, what capability or resource could address it, and what changes when support is applied.

We propose beginning with a small founding cohort of approximately 10 schools representing contrasting implementation contexts, selected and shaped with the Ministry.

Change Lens is the implementation-intelligence layer. The wider One Big Change model brings together schools, research partners, implementation experts and Traction Partners so that evidenced needs can be connected to relevant expertise, technology, funding and other resources, with outcomes measured and learning shared.

For the Ministry, this creates an opportunity to develop a clearer picture of where current CBE investment is producing strong implementation, which conditions are enabling that success, which barriers recur across school contexts, which existing capabilities and resources can address them, and which approaches merit wider adoption.

Our immediate request is a 30-minute online conversation to understand which CBE implementation outcomes matter most to the Ministry and test whether this approach could provide useful additional implementation intelligence and practical value.
